Conference: The rythm of memory |
On 9 December, 2020 the IRCCS INRCA organized a conference entitled the “Rythm of Memory” within the frame of the Special Edition of the Tipicità Project |
The scientific event was streamed online and faced several issues like the active aging, the prevention of different cognitive impairments such as memory-loss, dementia, with the aim to spread awareness on the importance of a correct lifestyle to improve people’ health

In this context, the scientific project STRENGTH was illustrated. The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Health and Marche Region (grant n. GR - 2016 - 02363041) and is coordinated by Dr. Cinzia Giuli of the IRCCS INRCA. STRENGHT is studying the effects of a psycho-social treatment based on tango to improve the cognitive function of people aged over 60

On 27th November 2020, the city of Ancona hosted the European Researchers' Night, an event taking place simultaneously in all the main cities in Europe
The event that usually gathers in the city squares researchers and celebrities, students and science lovers, this year was held online, because of the Covid-19 pandemic
This is an educational event addressed to the whole citizenship, with the aim of making people know more about researchers’ job and their role in shaping the future of our society. In particular, this year the edition was focused on the relationship among researchers and the challenges of the Sustainable Development Goals
As regards IRCCS INRCA, researchers took part in a local radio and web tv broadcast, Radio Arancia Network. Our researchers were asked to choose a famous song representative of their story in the research world

SCOPE Final Conference |
The Final Conference of the “Screening for CKD among older people across Europe (SCOPE)” European Project took place on Wednesday November 25th, 2020 as a virtual event |
The event aimed at providing evidence for existing screening and prevention programmes in the field of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). The SCOPE project investigated whether and to which extent currently available screening methods may identify older people at risk of worsening kidney function. This was possible through the implementation of an observational prospective study with a 2-year follow up, recruiting 2435 older people aged 75+ in Italy, Austria, Israel, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Poland, and Germany
The SCOPE Final Conference was organized in close cooperation by the project partners and involved researchers, clinicians, policy-makers and stakeholders
